Caden Moran makes dinosaurs look futuristic ([info]morethanacade) wrote,

Remember that moment in your youth when you woke up and realised that you could now tower over your mother and automatically gained that sense of security justified by physics?

I don't.

In better news (as it's been made public knowledge anyway): despite a dose of contempt, I am still the favourite. Which is a grand accomplishment all its own.

That's because mum tends to channel Great-Gran Weasely at times.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. First born on both sides, well behaved, grand career and future Minister despite getting himself in contempt for a bit. With a plan like that, the rest of us never stood a chance. Though, happily so as that meant we could run around in your shadow and cause problems when no one was looking.

You know that awkward moment in the scolding when you are not quite sure if they are going to remove your cheek with a leathery palm or attack you in a hug with the force of a thousand apes? I'm dizzy now from it.

You have missed 'greatest brother in all of space and time'...but keep going. See, point that out to pup, will you? He needs to see the perks of standing so cleverly in my shadow!

I'm glad to hear that your cheek is still intact and that you received, an all be it dizzying, but deserved thousand aped hug.

But there's just so much, I was just picking and choosing from a very long list. But now that you mentioned it "'greatest brother in all of space and time" was actually next on the list. You think he'd listen if I pointed that out? He'd probably make it a point not to. But then again, that could just solidify my place as second favorite....oh decisions decisions.

As am I; I'd look an absolute scab without it.

It should have been on the top of that there list and you very well know it! But perhaps it was best not to mention it for pup's sake. He is apparently dissatisfied with the knowledge of being my personal favourite brother. Blokes would eat their socks for such a prestigious placement!

Nah. As much as this pains me to say, I think you'd be just fine without it. I mean, think of the sympathy stories!

See, I'm always thinking. Or not thinking. Or...whatever one that makes me come out looking good right there. Ignore him. I think he's a little young to understand what a prestigious placement it is. I, for one, thoroughly enjoy being the favorite sister. Perhaps in a few years he'll be old enough to understand. Doubt it. But he's a bit thick like that. Perhaps we shouldn't have dropped him....

Think of my campaign photos....

Bessie we both know that there is a complete difference between the word "drop" and the action of "flipping" him off of your lap when he quit moving.

Think of the sympathy votes of the undecided!

Another excellent point. It's not our fault that he lacked balance and the ability to land on his feet.

How would I possibly gain the votes of all the single mum's out there with a grotesque gap on my face? People would wonder if the injury had gotten to my brain and if I was then going to focus budgets completely on my own physical reconstruction.

I'm full of them! Hence why he is Pup and not Kit. Now had he proven to be more like a cat then perhaps we would have dropped him far less. Or rather the thrill of such a talent would have warn off far sooner than our motivation to make him learn.

I have no idea, but that's why you'll have a good P.R. person at your side to help with those tricky little questions. Personally, I'd go with you lost it in the good fight to protect and improve the human condition.

And here I thought it was because he kept going on the rug. Somehow I think if he would have started landing the right way the, ah, flipping would have stopped sooner, for lack of interest, I mean that he learned his lesson. I still maintain the same position I did when I was five. He's defective.

Well that should have been laughably obvious.

CADEN WHEN I AM DONE BEING MAD AT YOU I WILL TELL YOU HOW PROUD I AM FOR THAT STAND. BUT UNTIL THEN.... WHAT DO YOU MEAN HELD IN CONTEMPT! WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW MAD I AM AT YOU RIGHT NOW!

...and proud. BUT MAD.

Which part?

Mads

It had to be done, love. I wasn't going to allow blatant incompetence occur right under my nose. I am sorry that you are cross but I would do it again, and again. At least a second time I would be less surprised by the conditions of holding. I will see that changed as well.

Not having power over the mother-being by height.

Caden
And that, love, is where I'm proud of you. Unbelievably so. Just make sure I get to see you when this is all over, and not on visitation hours.

A boy needed something to look forward to!

Mads

I have few plans on spending another night anywhere near that stale place, unless it is to see the conditions improved. From what happened yesterday, I can just imagine that the rest of this case will be pretty straight forward, especially if the two other lads are found guilty. It was meant to be a pretty cut and dry case to be completely honest, and aside from the obvious, will continue to be.

I wish I were able to place a measure of time on when I can come see you...and preferably on when I can stop talking like a complete wanker.

That helped.

I doubt there would be any question to this statement right here.
